And I needed it, the rest I mean. After the initial release of the Iphone 3g on July 11, Traffic to Moxie Drive Expressions almost doubled during the first week of sales. Then it settled to about 75% of that. Still ahead by a good margin. Looks like about 800 additional visits per day per million sales. Apple is supposed to sell 15 million of them this year. Moxie Drive may be looking at some $500 Adsense days ahead. Probably toward Christmas when the traditional spike occurs on electronic devices like this. It is a good place to be.

The latest news on Iphone 3g:

The Wired Blog Network reported that lines are once again forming at the Apple stores nation wide by those wanting to buy the Iphone 3G. Apparently Apple has resolved the supply problem. They obviously did not realize how popular the new handheld was going to be.

More good news on Iphone 3g:

Apple has set August 22, 2008 as the date that Iphone 3g will be released to 20 additional countries. Moxie Drive is already getting some attention worldwide. Hot spots include the USA (of course), England, Canada, Australia, India, and now China traffic seems to be on the increase. China has surpassed the rest of the world with it's internet users. This is going to be a huge market. And since they have at least Iphone clones and can download music, games, and movies to them, this becomes an important market to Moxie Drive with respect to the Iphone articles it contains. It is a good place to be.

Apple posted record earning for the quater ending on June 28, 2008, 717,000 compared to 270,000 in the year-ago-quarter. Iphone is all the buzz these days. Did anyone notice that over 11 million Ipods were purchased?

Bad news on Iphone 3g:

Watch out for excessive data usage in excess of monthly allowances if you are living in Australia. Australian IT reports that Telstra's $30 plan only includes a "measly 5MB of data". Anything in excess of this is charges at a rate of $1 per megabyte. Now do the math. $1 per megabyte X 1000 = $1,000 per Gigabyte. Most hi def movies approach a Gig. Pay $1,000.00 for a movie download? OMG no! Even Choosing a higher-end pack gets the excess charge down to 25c a megabyte, or $250 per gigabyte. So you only have to pay close to $250.00 for that movie download now. Yuck!

Iphone 3g applications continue to crash according to Computer World. Their first suggestion as far as action to take when experiencing Iphone 3g application problems? Reboot of course. Just like a MAC or PC. Duh! 2nd - Keep the application up to date. If the publisher wants to keep their application in the Itunes Application store, they will have to make sure that the %^)^&&*()^)_ thing works! Option #3, remove the failing application. Make sure you delete it from both the Iphone 3g and Itunes before resyncing. If you should want the application back, preferably after hearing about an update that fixes the problems, go to the Itunes store and re-download it. It should indicate that it is a paid application and you can download it at no cost.

Speaking of Iphone 3g Applications, Dan Frakes wrote a great article at ComputerWorld titled Review: Four basic to-do apps for iPhone and iPod Touch if you are looking for some ideas on how to use your Iphone 3g productively. Then there is the rest which you can also find at Net Phone Downloads.

Peace!
