Insanity, that is the only way to describe this. Insanity. The new Iphone is on it's way. Websites are pre-selling them. The new owners are hoping to get them delivered by Friday July 11, 2008. This is the very day Apple announced that the Iphone 3G would become available. Computer World has announced that there is already a mad crowd standing at the door waiting to get in for the new Iphone release: "Customers eager to pre-order an Apple Inc. iPhone 3G in the U.K. overwhelmed the O2 Web site early Monday, and when the site returned to operation, the mobile operator said "unprecedented" demand had exhausted its available inventory." There was no indication how many of the pre-orders were filled, but "more than 200,000 people had expressed interest in the new iPhone by registering their e-mail addresses with the company". One UK retailer. And the site crashes. At&T is is opening their respective retail stores on Friday at 8:00 am local time.
