Awhile back I wrote a series on how to use Stumbleupon and described the basics: 1. Fresh Content 2. Tagging Your Posts 3. Making and Keeping Friends 4. Becoming a Top Stumbler I have since noticed one aspect of these basics that is underused considerably. It is not one that I can do for myself, but must be done to get the viral traffic that I so desire. It involves the activities of my Stumbleupon friends. It would only take a small group of Stumblers consistently reviewing and tagging their friends posts. I certainly can write about 20 or so reviews in an hours time. I notice, for the most part, 3-5 reviews, distinguished from just a vote in Stumbleupon, and see traffic levels increase to between 200 and 500 visits per day. What if 20 reviews were made with proper tagging? I have one post on October 21, 2007 titled Secrets Of Stumbleupon - Making And Keeping Friends that has 12 reviews, all of them except mine of course were untagged. The total votes for this article was 50. The total visits for this post remains at about 1,800. My question is what would happen if 50 Stumblers reviewed, vs just vote, and tagged their review with appropriate and common Stumbleupon keywords? I should think that the traffic, at least for one day, would go through the roof. I have already sent an article contained in my article directory titled Start Your Earth Shattering Home Business to my almost 200 Stumbleupon friends with a request to review and tag. I even gave them the keywords to tag with. You may be interested in the results for this article as well. Why not try it? The Stumbleupon review button is just beneath the text of this post. It is the one that says "I like it" next to the green up arrow. The Stumbleupon screen will show up with the review description and tag fields for you to fill in. Use the tags stumbleupon, social media, social networking, social bookmarking for this post. Then lets see what Stumbleupon does with all the reviews and tags. I will provide a subsequent post with the results. I think this kind of activity by your friends could supercharge your Stumbleupon Traffic. Of course, if you review and tag this post, I will feel obligated to review and post one of yours...

I am a newbie when it comes to stumbleupon. I have heard that people get 200 hits in a day reviewing the right site. I am interested in starting to impliment what you are saying. More?

Yes, few people properly tag or comment the pages they read. This article is one of the most important concept to learn by any person want to become a top stumbler. In fact we did it at www.vyass.org for several months on our required pages and got exceeding results on google searches by getting viral traffic.
