There is a very simple method to speed up your connection to the internet for those with DSL or Cable. Google has a web accelerator that is simple to install and easy to use. Go to http://www.google.com -> about Google -> Google Services & Tools -> Web Accelerator. It is at the very bottom of the page. Click the download now button and save/install the GoogleWebAcceleratorSetup.msi file. This works with both Internet Explorer and FireFox browsers. Other browsers require changes in proxy settings. It does not accelerate secured https:// web pages. All of the details on the Google Web Accelerator can be found at http://webaccelerator.google.com/support.html Those of you that may have a security issue with using the Google Web Accelerator can filter out the appropriate web pages easily. Sorry, it is not recommended for dial-up.
