I found it most interesting to note that Stumbleupon was considered one of the heavy hitters. I would agree with this assessment as I have been able to pull a couple of thousand visits from one Stumbleupon post from one blog post last week. She included all the other "big dawgs", Myspace, Wikipedia, Digg, MyBlogLog (which I just recently started using myself), Netscape (Now Propeller), Technorati, Twitter, Redditt, and Del.icio.us. If nothing else, this list give you a good idea from one of the pros where you should be posting for social neworking/media purposes. Some of the numbers were huge. LinkedIn has 14 million members. 500 thousand of them are Senior Executives. Anybody else looking for a job? This is the place to start. She covers each of the social media sites very thoroughly and yes, even includes a picture of today's social media Guru, the 22 year old Muhammad Saleem, who I think we are going to see a lot of in this industry. With respect to Stumbleupon, Rhea mentions that you can "force friends to stumble your articles. It is called a forced stumble. Actually, it is just a message that will bring them to the appropriate page. Your friends still have to decide to vote thumbs up or thumbs down. She concludes with a top secret tip, which I am going to implement as soon as I finish this blog post. Read her blog post at Refresh Jacksonville Social Media Presentation for more information on this. Labels: social media

And by the way, this was a great introduction to my series on how to make Stumbleupon work.
