1)Keep your outside space clear Widen the outside space and increase the area by trimming back any overgrown area’s, ensure that if your potential purchasers arrive, the front of the house is empty of any waste collection, toys, cars and all gardening waste. You may be having a clear out as you are moving but prospective buyers don’t need to see it. It is usually men who notice how easy the work in the garden space is and having an unkempt or overgrown space can really effect the chance of a sale. 2)Make it brighter Where you can, make your outside living space seem colorful by adding some floral decoration. A simple idea is to use a set of pots or maybe a hanging basket and place colorful bright flowers and for the time your house is being viewed it will add a certain appeal. Do not use heavily scented plants as this can be quite personal and the wrong flower could leave a bad lasting impression. The best part of pots or baskets is they wont cost you too much and you can always move them with you to a new home. 3)Using your border The border of your space should also be well maintained depending upon the perimeter of garden you have. If your home has only a small amount of outside space, blurring the boundaries with some potted plants but not too large can change the perspective and it might be well worth lightening the walls with paint. It can refresh the look of your home, but ensure the colour is light and complements the overall look. If you have a fairly big garden, point out the size, with clearly defined edging making sure that all fencing is in good repair and newly painted or any brickwork is faultless. 4)The entertainment space If your garden is in general good repair and has the space, make it work for you by creating a scene. Have a well maintained and stylish barbeque in clear view with garden furniture set out, as if frequently use the space to entertain friends, even if this is not the case most likely purchasers are sold on the idea rather than the reality. If you have the benefit of sunshine, maximize the effect by offering refreshment when they reach the back garden and invite them to sit and make themselves at home. 5)Add a water feature If the opportunity is there and money is not really a problem then give the garden something special by purchasing a self contained water feature that is both attractive and safe for children, it can make the unforgettable feature that means your property streaks ahead of the others in the same price bracket.
