Part of your business plan should be setting goals for your growth. If you want your advertising to be geared towards a specific group paid advertising may be needed, but to reach out to potential customers, especially new customers, affiliate marketing may be the best deal for the money.
An important aspect in affiliate network market is in knowing your target audience as well as those sites with which you are affiliated. You may want to verify their reputation as well as the legality of their business. What may be legal to offer online in one state may be considered shady in another location. Additionally, consider the other advertising being carried on affiliate sites to determine if you want your business name associated with that type of advertising.
