He plays the role of a not very successful artist who has mounting debts that need to be addressed soon. He agrees to fake his death and disguises himself as Widow Tillou, his fictional twin sister. The plot is successful, as his paintings are bought by the dealer, who feels that the dead artist's works are more valuable.
