"A single grateful thought raised to heaven is the most perfect prayer." - Gotthold Ephraim Lessing
Adopting an attitude of gratitude can do wonders for your personal relationships and your family! One of the biggest "diseases of attitude" is groaning. When you complain, you are focusing on your problems and making it so people around you focus on problems too. Unfortunately, by complaining, you are only adding to the problem.
By changing your thoughts to what is "right" and good in every situation -- you will soon discover that all events are essentially neutral and it is your attitude that determines whether or not something negative has transpired.
So, the next time you see yourself displeased in how a situation was handled learn from the experience and decide what can be done differently in the future. Stretch yourself and think of how it would be if you were grateful that the problem turned out the way it did. Maybe you can think that you are "spared" from a situation that would be worse. Let yourself to feel grateful for what just happened and everything that it gave you see if you could find the good thing in it for you.
At the last hour of every single day, I take some time to review my day and prepare for the next. A section of my review is feeling grateful for all of the blessings that came to me that day perhaps in the shape of a phone call I never expected from a person in my vision team; maybe it came in the shape of book orders; or perhaps an email from a person I touched with my newsletter. These things remind me about what I do and why I do it. By adjoining with the blessings that I had to do with, I get refueled for the next days agenda. Hopefully you can feel the same way I do!
