Nowadays we don't take a credit card as a luxurious attribute. It is a daily necessity, so no one thinks it is only for a group of selected VIPs. Most of the US residents own from 7 to 10 plastics and this is a lot! People yield the temptation and can't control their spending. As a result they get into a deep debt. But credit cards are not the same for everybody. They depend on the financial status. There are some for ordinary customers, some for rich and some for elite.
Some years ago the situation was different. There were Gold and Platinum credit cards. So you could easily define the level of wealth of such a cardholder. These days, owning Gold or Platinum card doesn't necessarily mean that you have a special status. You can get a Gold prestige credit card with really low credit line and terms, which leave much to be desired. They are not exactly Gold cards. But this article is devoted to completely different type of cards – the cards for the most rich and powerful.
Have you heard of a black credit card - American Express Centurion, to be exact? This one differs from the green American Express Personal Card, which is available for every responsible and trustworthy customer with a good credit history. American Express Centurion Black is available only to the selected group of people – crazy wealthy and powerful. These people pay $1000 ownership fee per month. Moreover, the terms of applying for this card are covered with secrecy.
If you are a well-to-do person and you own a regular Gold or Platinum credit cards, you may expect to receive a cherished card or exclusive invitation in your mailbox. And this little card will open all the doors for you, giving you unlimited opportunities.
MasterCard has the similar credit product too. They offer a card only for the best and selected. And they hide the terms and rules of application for this card as well. Only Visa always leaves the information concerning its privileged Visa Signature Card exposed to view. It may become available for you only if your annual income stands for $250,000 and you have an excellent credit rating.
The above mentioned cards have no credit limit, so you can feel free to get anything you want. As regular cards concerns, only American Express Personal provides this option and MasterCard has started to issue the similar cards. But anyway, if you own such plastic, you have to prove your bank that you are creditworthy and responsible, in case if you want to make a big purchase (a luxurious yacht, for instance). An owner of the VIP card doesn't need to prove anything. This is his privilege. And no one minds if he wants to get a yacht or a concept car.
