The majority of college students don't have a clue how to cook. This article will change that.
Believe me when I tell you that you definitely don't want to eat macaroni & cheese and Raman noodles every night. This is terrible for your body. Anyway, cooking does not have to be difficult and complex. The only thing you have to have are the right recipes and/or an creative mind.
There are recipe books that were made especially for college students. Think about buying Starving Student's Cookbook, Cooking Outside the Pizza Box, The Healthy College Cookbook, or some other college recipe book. You will certainly be glad you did.
Some people just can't stand following a recipe. Don't fret! When it's dinner time just find a few items that go well together and chuck them in a pot or pan. Try chicken, rice, and steamed carrots. Or ground beef, onion, corn, tomato sauce, sliced olives, noodles, and oregano leaves. Salt and pepper to taste and throw some cheese on top. Experiment all you want.
Other simple meals: spaghetti with sauce, chicken Alfredo, Caesar salad, Stone soup (put anything you want in it), hotdogs, macaroni tuna salad, three bean salad, or try a crock pot meal!
An additional piece of advice: absolutely do not skip breakfast! Cereal, fruit, bagels, and oatmeal make quick and simple breakfasts. You can also make pancakes, muffins and biscuits. If you can't make them from scratch, buy a mix! Skipping breakfast is hard on your metabolism. Avoid it as much as possible. If you are really in a hurry grab a granola bar or an apple, just get something in your stomach.
