These are proven ways on how to best improve your Adsense earnings for your websites.
a) Concentrating on one format of Adsense ad. The Large Rectangle (336X280) Adsense ad is the one format that worked well for the majority of websites. This type of format resulted in higher CTR, or the click-through rates. Why choose this type of format out of the many you can use for your Adsense ads? These ads look like normal web links, and web surfers are used to clicking on them as links. b) A custom palette for your Adsense ads. Choose the right color that will showcase well with the background colors of your website. Again, This should result in a lot more clicks from web surfers visiting your website.
c) Remove Adsense ads from the bottom locations of the web pages on your website and place the Adsense ads at top locations. Do not hide Adsense ads, place them where web surfers can see them quickly and you will be amazed to see your earnings increase just by the new placement of the Adsense ads.
d) Maintain links to other relevant websites. If you think some the websites are better off than the others, place your ads there. If there is already lots of Adsense ads on that site, place your ads above of all of them. That way web surfers will see your Adsense ads first when browsing that website.
e) Automate the placement of your Adsense ad code into your webpages using SSI (or server side included). Check with your web administrator if the server supports SSI first. How to do it? Create and save your Adsense code in a simple text file, save it as “adsense text”, and upload it to your web server in the root directory. Using SSI, call the code on other webpages. This is a great tip and a time saver especially for webmasters using automatic webpage generators to create webpages for their website.
These are some of the Adsense ad tips that have worked very well for webmasters who want to generate hundreds or thousands on their websites. It is important to know though that Adsense ads are displayed because it works with the interest of the web surfers viewing these ads. So focusing on a specific topic should be your main purpose because the Adsense ads will be especially targeted on a topic that web surfers will be viewing already and are interested in that topic.
Note also that there are many other Adsense sharing the same topic as you. It is best to think of making a good ad that will be somewhat different and unique than the ones already done. Every clickthrough that visitors make is a point for you so make every click count by making your Adsense something that web surfers will definitely click on.
