Amazon is king of the internet marketplace. That might be a little bit of an overstatement, but they are good and have great customer service and prices to vouch for it. There movie selection is huge. You can search by specific movies or browse genres, movie studios, and more. You can even buy movie downloads from Amazon’s unbox video downloads service. All you have to do is download their free software to watch the movie on and you can buy and watch any movie you want.
Cinema Now and Vongo both have video download services as well. Downloading is the fastest way to see the movies you want. All you have to do is buy the movie and download it and you can watch it right away. You can even watch television shows. Downloading is better than DVDs also because you don’t have to have space for your DVDs. If you only have a few DVDs, this probably isn’t a problem, but if you have hundreds, even thousands of DVDs, they can start to take up a lot of space. If you live in a small house or apartment, this is not space you want to give up to a DVD collection.
You can go to the store and buy DVDs or you can order them online. Most likely you will get better bargains online such as Columbia House’s DVD Club. You can join the club at an incredible introductory offer and continue to get great deals. All you have to do is buy 3 to 5 DVDs within a couple years and you’ve completed your contract. Then you can leave anytime or continue to get great deals. This is a great option if you are interested in getting a lot of DVDs. If you spent $20 on every DVD you have and bough 1,000 DVDs over the course of a couple years, you would have spent $20,000. That is a lot of money spent on entertainment. As with any type of entertainment, it can be expensive. Spending money on movie tickets, DVDs, movie downloads, cable, and DVRs can be very expensive over time. The best way to deal with it is to get only what you really want and to purchase it at the best prices. Whether that means buying from Amazon or buy.com, joining a DVD club such as Columbia House’s DVD Club, or Downloading music from Vongo or Cinema Now, you can save money.
