The likes of Iphone Nova, Iphone Unlimited, Iphone Download Pro, Fill Your Iphone, and Iphone Magic are now gone, probably forever. An active and vital niche market vaporized with the stroke of one DMCA (The Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998). What I do not understand is how Apple was able to file a DMCA against Clickbank who just managed the finances of the websites offering the membership sites. Clickbank did not own the membership websites themselves and did not promote them in any way other than to allow the websites to offer their product using them as the middle man. Confusing at best.
Apple got greedy and wanted a piece of every pie in the market with the release of the new Itunes application store where you can purchase application downloads for the Iphone 3G at some cost.
A review of all product downloads in the Itunes store reveals the following:
Movies:
Rental - $2.99
Purchase - $9.99 to $14.99 each
Music - $0.99 each.
Games - Starting at $4.99 each
Applications - Some free, most $2.99 - $14.99 each
Thought that you got your Iphone 3G cheap, didn’t you? Not so cheap after all if you have to give Apple all of your dollars just to get it to do what you want.
The membership sites, new ones subsequent to the DMCA that limits them from using copyright terms like “Iphone”, “Ipod”, and “Itunes”, have resurfaced and will save you money.
